Tata Nexon is getting a much-awaited update in the upcoming festive season. Several details have already been confirmed. Let’s take a look.

Tata Motors is finally bringing an updated Tata Nexon to the Indian market. It is expected to be launched in the upcoming festive season. The 2023 Tata Nexon is tipped to come with a revised design, new features, and an improved powertrain. It features a fresh styling package along with an updated interior brimming with new features. It even gets a new engine and gearbox. More details will be confirmed with the official launch that is expected to take place in the second half of September 2023. It will compete with the likes of Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, and Hyundai Venue. Here are 5 things you should know about the new model –

CURVV-Inspired Soft Parts

On the outside, the new 2023 Tata Nexon facelift will feature a sleek front bumper with a split-LED headlight setup and DRLs, similar to Curvv. Recent spy shots also hint that the back of the will also get similar design changes. This includes a new connected LED tail lamp that will replace the X-shaped strip. Additional changes on the upcoming car will include new 16-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, and new colour options. Overall, the 2023 Tata Nexon will feature a new design while retaining a familiar silhouette.

Richer Cabin

The upcoming Brezza rival will feature stylish interiors with minimal dashboard design. It will feature a fully digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo.

More Gadgets

The 2023 Nexon will also come with digital auto-climate control buttons, a wireless charger, and a circular drive-mode knob. Additional features will include a sunroof, air purifier, auto-dimming IRVM, and ventilated seats. The company might also offer a 360-degree camera.

Modern Powertrain

Just like the current model, the 2023 Tata Nexon will also offer two powertrain options. The new 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol engine will offer 123bhp of peak power and 225nm of max torque. For transmission, the company is likely to offer a DCT (dual-clutch transmission) option. On the other hand, the upcoming car will retain the existing 1.5-litre diesel unit that outputs 118bhp of peak power and 170nm of max torque. It comes with a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed AMT.

Safer than Ever

Safety features on the Tata Nexon 2023 will include a six-airbag system, ABS (anti-braking system) with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), ESP (electronic stability program), TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system), and hill-hold assist. However, it will be based on the same platform as the current-gen model. But thanks to the additional safety equipment, expect the SUV to perform well even as per the revised NCAP norms.
