Tata Punch Owner Pros and Cons

A Tata Punch owner shares the pros and cons of the micro SUV as per his experience. Punch is the most popular micro SUV in the market. It boasts attractive features like a striking bold exterior, a 5-star safety rating at the Global NCAP, the latest tech and connectivity features, etc. In fact, it has been ruling the sales charts ever since its launch. It was only after the arrival of the Hyundai Exter that things have become interesting. But the fact that both these cars are selling strongly indicates buyers’ love for small SUVs. Let us take a look at the details of what a Punch owner has to say about this car.

Tata Punch Pros & Cons Shared by Owner

A certain Sahil Ghai expresses his experience on the Tata PUNCH Club India page on Facebook. He owns the Adventure Rhythm AMT version of the Punch. He lists out all the positives of the vehicle. This includes a tough and heavy build, great steering and suspension stability which is great for highway rides, competitive pricing for being an SUV with the convenience of an AMT gearbox and striking and bold front styling. While the looks can be subjective, the other aspects are certainly impressive.

On the other hand, he also shares some downsides of the car. According to his ownership experience, he feels that the quality of the paint is quite poor. Also, the metal might be heavy but the quality is not too impressive. He says this because he faced rusting within just 6 months of the purchase. That is quite disappointing. He had to claim a warranty to fix it. Furthermore, he feels that the 3-cylinder engine has vibrations and feels underpowered in hilly areas, especially with 4 people in the car. Finally, he is only able to squeeze out around 8-10 km/l in city traffic. That is way less than the claimed 18 km/l. These are all the pros and cons of his ownership experience.
