2020 Hyundai Creta was launched in March and the bookings for that are ongoing, at Hyundai’s official website.

In an interview to other publication, a top Hyundai official has revealed some details about the sale of Hyundai Creta. The new generation SUV is currently one of the most talked SUVs in the country. It was launched in March, just some days before the lockdown started and its deliveries are expected to commence once the dealerships are open.

Among all the units of 2020 Hyundai Creta that are booked till date, 55% of them account for the diesel variants. Rest of the 45% includes petrol and turbo petrol variants. From that, turbo petrol is facing the least demand among all the three options. Interestingly, The Creta Turbo is the one which is the most talked about.

Hyundai Creta gets complete set of new engines and gearbox options. First, it gets a 1.5 Litre diesel engine that produces 110 PS and comes mated to a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT. The petrol engine is also a 1.5 Litre four-cylinder unit that pumps out 110 PS and comes with an option of a 6-speed MT or a CVT. Both these engines are now available on new Verna as well.

The third engine on offer is the 1.4 Litre turbo-petrol T-GDI that produces 143 PS and comes mated to a 7-speed DCT as standard. All these three engines come from Kia Seltos and are already BS6 compliant. Check out the detailed prices here and see the difference for yourself:

The difference between the top-end diesel AT and turbo-petrol DCT variants is nothing. If compared with the diesel manual variant, there’s a difference of nearly 1.4 Lakhs. If we ignore the automatic transmission, the SX (O) Diesel Manual offers the same features that you get on diesel-AT. The turbo-petrol variants just have a couple of cosmetic features more, otherwise, even it gets the same list.
