Hours after the new KTM RC390 was leaked online, the new 2022 KTM RC200 and RC125 have also been revealed through a set of official images leaked by the same Instagrammer (@yadu_kanakkaparambil). As is the case with the RC390, the RC200 and the RC125 have received a sea of updates that work together to make the two fully-faired motorcycles look a tad bit sharper than the current versions.

New 2022 KTM RC200

The new KTM RC200 doesn’t seem to be too far from its launch. In fact, the new model could make its debut around the same time as the new RC390 or the RC125. The leaked images give us a good look at the typical orange-white livery from the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer. The motorcycle gets sharp fairing-mounted rearview mirrors, halogen headlamp, LED DRLs/Indicators at the terminal edges of the upper fairing, faux carbon fibre trim on the front, split seats, split rear grab rails, black-painted front mudguard, single-strip LED taillights, air vents on the fairing and upside-down front forks. Also, the motorcycle will be available even in a black-orange colour theme.

In all likelihood, the 199.5cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine of the current version will be carried over to the new model with minor updates. Currently, this motor outputs 25bhp and 19Nm. The motor comes mated to a six-speed transmission. Another update will come in the form of the updated trellis frame. The new model will be slightly costlier than the outgoing version. At present, the RC200 costs Rs 2.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) but the new model could cost up to Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

New 2022 KTM RC125

With the KTM RC390 and RC200 getting a host of updates, it’s only natural for the RC125 to receive a similar suite of enhancements. Hence, like the new KTM RC200, even the RC125 will get revised bodywork. As is the case with the bigger siblings, the 125cc model will benefit from a new split trellis frame and a revised subframe. The bodywork will look a lot like what is being provided on the more powerful siblings, with the RC125 getting the same fairing with halogen headlamp and LED DRLs/indicators at the edge of the facade. Compared to the current model, the flyscreen has got a tad bigger. The fuel tank has also got bigger than before, while the digital instrumentation comes from the 250 Adventure. Even the seats seem to have been re-bolstered while the grab handles seem to come from the Duke 390.

Other than the revised frame, even the braking system has been updated with bigger rotors. The engine, however, will be carried over from the Duke 125, albeit, with minor tweaks. Currently, this single-pot engine outputs 15PS of maximum power and 12Nm of peak torque. At present, the RC125 has been priced at Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom) but the new model could cost up to Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
