In a major accident, a Tata Nexon was hit by a truck and bus from the front and back, respectively. It still managed to keep the driver safe.

Tata Motors has improved safety standards in Indian cars over the last few years. It is one of the few companies to have three vehicles with a 5-star safety rating. Even entry-level cars have received good safety ratings. In December 2020, Tata Motors became the second-best in the country, in terms of sales. It has now taken over the likes of Hyundai Motors in the passenger cars segment. Now, a major accident of the Tata Nexon put the safety ratings of the SUV to test. The results of the crash displayed why the brand is being preferred by customers. Letโ€™s take a closer look at the details!

As you can see from the images above, the accident was quite serious and left huge damage. Fortunately, the driver was driving alone and escaped without any injuries. The accident took place when a truck suddenly applied breaks on a highway. Subsequently, the Tata Nexon hit the truck and a roadways bus hit the car from the back. You can see massive damage on the front. However, the cabin seems perfectly fine. On the negative side, the airbags did not employ in the car despite a huge impact. It is something Tata Motors should take note of.

This incident once again showcases the power of Tata steel. It kept the cabin intact and passengers safe. However, there is still room for improvement. The increased sales of Tata cars are likely to encourage other manufacturers to build safer cars as well.
While you can invest in a safe car (with the good build quality and safety equipment), we advise you to follow the traffic rules and report anyone driving recklessly to the authorities. Since Indian roads vary in quality from place to place, it is important to be mindful of the surface conditions while driving. Thousands of people lose their lives in avoidable accidents every year.
