New vs Old Maruti Brezza Build Quality Test by Hands

Maruti is making sincere efforts to improve the build quality of its newer products as it was a matter of concern for the potential customers who have grown safety-conscious in the last few years.

In this short video clip, the vlogger tests the sheetmetal quality of the new and old Maruti Brezza with his bare hands. Now, Maruti has made the new Brezza and its other products like the new Baleno slightly heavier than its previous-generation counterparts indicating a stronger build. However, whether or not it translates to enhanced safety ratings remains to be seen. Until then, let us try to experience the differences that are visible to the naked eye.

New vs Old Brezza Sheetmetal Quality Test

The video captures the last-gen Toyota Urban Cruiser (rebadged Brezza) and the current-gen Maruti Brezza. The YouTuber clearly shows that the sheetmetal on the door panel of the older version gets pressed when force is applied using bare hands. Nevertheless, it has a safety rating of 4 stars at the GNCAP. On the other hand, the new Brezza has a thick metal sheet which ensures that there is no deformation when additional force is applied. While we can’t directly relate it to the NCAP rating, it could surely play a role. But we must not jump the gun and wait until the official GNCAP test is performed.
