Mercedes GLS Hits Tata Safari

Mercedes GLS Hits Tata Safari

We come to witness crashes of popular vehicles almost every day but this has to be the first instance where the Safari was at the receiving end of the damage.

In this instance, a Mercedes GLS hits a Tata Safari from behind. The Safari has not been crash-tested yet but its real-life accidents have proved that it might well be just a matter of time before the verdict is out it scores pretty high safety ratings. On the other hand, German luxury cars have a reputation of convincingly scoring the highest points in crash tests. That is the reason for this result as seen in this video. Here are the details.

This video has been uploaded on YouTube by Prateek Singh. He posts such content in a bid to raise awareness among Indian car owners regarding the importance of buying cars with high safety ratings. As per the information in the video, this incident has been reported from Nadaun in Himachal Pradesh. As it turns out, the Safari was travelling on a busy road ahead of the Merc. Due to unknown reasons, the driver of the Safari had to apply brakes suddenly. However, the driver of the GLS was not able to react quickly enough and ended up hitting the Safari from behind.

As far as the damage on both the SUVs is concerned, interestingly, the boot door of the Safari is seen getting a dent. While on the other hand, there are barely any signs of the impact on the front fascia of the Mercedes. This has to be one of the first times when the Safari suffered more damage than the other car involved in the crash with it. Most times, we have seen that the build of Tata products has always been solid absorbing the impact quite ruggedly. Nevertheless, some parts of every car like the boot lid, bumper, fender, etc. are made up of plastic. Hence, they get deformed relatively easily.

Obey Traffic Rules

In conclusion, we can only advise our readers to always follow the traffic rules. It’s important to drive within the speed limits and according to the traffic conditions. This incident was reported from a busy town. This means that you must maintain sufficient distance from the car ahead of you since it could brake suddenly. That seems to be the main reason for this crash, albeit official details are not available. Let us encourage responsible behaviour to promote road safety.
