Skoda is a car marque that focuses a lot on getting young minds involved in the development of ideas for design with their cars via numerous projects.
This latest Skoda Rapid Cabriolet project is a great example of what the Student Car Project initiative in India is all about. Skoda is a Czech carmaker running the Skoda Academy’s Azubi Student Car Project back home for almost a decade. It invites students from various fields to design innovative iterations of their established cars. Over the years, we have seen some incredibly impressive Skoda cars from such projects. Skoda launched this project for India recently which should be give great opportunities to the upcoming automobile enthusiasts.

Skoda Rapid Cabriolet
The Group Academy’s Dual Vocational Training in Mechatronics program created this Cabriolet version of the Skoda Rapid. It represents an open-top version of the Rapid sedan that was on sale in India until a couple of years ago. It consists of a retractable Skoda badge on the bonnet which is operated via a touch of a button, an LED lip lighting to the front bonnet, and an illuminated Skoda inscription on the boot lid. All these elements accentuate the aesthetics from the outside.

The exterior color is a familiar Blue, and the yellow line elements on the side bumper and brake callipers bring a sporty appearance. Apart from that, the cabin has also been redesigned with a tablet-styled Infotainment Touchscreen, seats in scarlet-red leather that look attractive and a sportier exhaust system replacing the stock unit. These represent a comprehensive update displaying the creativity of young minds.
