Aftermarket car modification houses are coming up with creative ways to make any car look unique and stand out from the crowd.

In this video, a Hyundai i20 has been painted in the Lamborghini orange colour. i20 is one of the most popular premium hatchbacks in the country. In fact, it is credited for being the original premium hatchback that was the reason for the inception of this segment altogether. Therefore, its prominence in the market can’t be underestimated. Currently, it rivals the likes of the Maruti Baleno and Tata Altroz. But some i20 owners want to go the extra mile to make their cars look unlike anything on the road. That is where a paintjob comes into the picture.

This video has been uploaded by Autorounders on YouTube. This is the official YouTube channel of this prominent car shop from Pune. It deals with paint jobs, restoration and other modifications. On this occasion, they have an i20. They have decided to finish it in a premium-looking orange colour. This is the same colour, at least in appearance, that one sees on many Lamborghini cars. The video showcases the entire process of repainting the car. When the final product emerges, everyone is pleasantly surprised.

The team has chosen the matte appearance with a satin finish. In addition, the entire exterior profile has been de-chromed. The areas like the front grille, Hyundai logo, side body cladding, tail section, roof, side pillars and alloy wheels have been painted black with a glossy look. That gives an incredibly sporty contrast to the matte orange colour and there is no sign of chrome. Therefore, it looks like a racing machine with a bright orange look with black inserts. The owners are quite happy with what the final product looks like.

What We Think

We always appreciate it if anyone decides to modify a car professionally. Note that there are tons of modification houses out there that are not professional. It can lead to issues later on. That is why we recommend visiting only experienced and professional car shops. Apart from that, many of you might be thinking if painting a colour in a different shade is allowed in India or not. Well, it is not, but you could always consult your local RTO and get the necessary changes registered on the RC of the car. There is a provision for that. Hence, you must do the paintjob in a legal manner by informing the RTO and making alterations to the RC. In this way, you won’t face any issues with the cops later on.
