In the latest horrific event, a VW Virtus hits an electricity pole at high speed. Virtus is a popular sedan that is the newest product by Volkswagen in our market. Based on the MQB-A0-IN platform designed specifically for emerging markets like India, Virtus rivals the mighty Honda City and Hyundai Verna in our market. In fact, the same platform has also spawned the Skoda Slavia with which the Virtus shares powertrains, transmissions and even body panels. VW Virtus Hits Electricity Pole
The post has been shared by Raftaar 7811 on YouTube. It captures an undesirable event where a VW Virtus has been driven at high speed and it ends up hitting an electricity pole. The visuals show a complicated scenario where the sedan is seen toppled over after the impact. As per the information in the video, there is no report regarding the health and safety of the occupants. However, some local news reports state that the driver, the only occupant, escaped with minor injuries. The condition of the vehicle looks quite intact. Even though it overturned after the collision, the video clip doesn’t show it in a dilapidated condition which is a great sign for its build quality.
This is not the first time the poles have been the cause of an accident in the area. Locals have often raised concerns about how these poles cover one-third of the road and need to be moved. The residents of the area have time and again urged the electricity department to relocate the poles as they pose as a danger to the road users.ย
