In this latest instance, the new Tata Nexon is seen being towed home by the villagers after a crash. I must admit, it is quite hilarious to see the compact SUV in this condition. The Nexon continues to dominate the compact SUV category, evident in its sustained month-over-month sales. Its widespread popularity is due to its appealing design, robust build, commendable safety track record, and contemporary features. Notably, the previous-generation model achieved an impressive 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP. While the current model awaits safety testing, the shared platform with its predecessor instils confidence in anticipating another stellar safety rating. Let’s delve into the specifics of this latest case for now.

New Tata Nexon Towed Home
This post comes from insurider on YouTube. The details of the crash are not available. But I was particularly glad to see the solidarity of the villagers. As per some reports, this SUV met with an accident. It rolled over and ended up on the side of the road. As you can see, it is a brand new model and the ribbons on the door handles are also visible. Since it looked like a very isolated location, the local villagers gathered around the scene and thought of something quite unique. They attached the front section of the SUV with thick ropes and pulled the vehicle. They are seen manually towing it home.

The Nexon presents a choice between two robust engines – a 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel – both delivering impressive performance. The petrol engine boasts power and torque ratings of 120 hp and 170 Nm, while the diesel engine offers 115 hp and 260 Nm. Both engines offer versatility with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed AMT. Notably, the petrol variant now provides enhanced flexibility by introducing options for a 5-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox, catering to a wider customer base. For those who prefer manual control, paddle shifters are also available. The price range for these models spans from Rs 8.10 lakh to Rs 15.50 lakh, ex-showroom.

Author’s Note
This is one of the most bizarre incidents I have come across in recent times. The SUV is being towed like people take their animals around in villages. But it also represents the power of unity. If people get together, they can achieve just about anything. Also, in areas where access to proper roads or towing trucks is not there, people have to resort to such innovative strategies to get by. This is a prime example of what a few people can do together.
