An attractive digital rendition of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder 7-seat hybrid SUV has emerged online. Remember, Hyryder is the Toyota counterpart of the Maruti Grand Vitara. The mid-size SUV competes with popular models like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in our market. But to add more excitement, especially in the digital world, SRK Designs has created a version of the mid-size SUV with an extended wheelbase. This allows for a third row of seating. Let’s take a closer look at the detailed design of this illustration here.

This post stems from srkdesignsin on Instagram. The digital artist has elongated the side profile of the SUV. In the image, you can see a completely new section added to the rear. The side windows now have a longer chrome strip underneath and the D-pillar has a unique design. It encapsulates chunky wheel arches, much similar to the existing model and stylish alloy wheels. At the front, there are sleek LED headlamps and a chrome slab on the grille on a large radiator grille section. It also gets a sturdy skid plate and sporty bumper. The vertical LED headlamps impose a modern appearance.

The most noticeable change is the extended rear overhang, giving it the appearance of a larger SUV from the outside and creating more space inside for a third row of seats. Looking from the sides, it seems like the SUV has been stretched in both directions. Another detail that adds to the impression of the Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater being larger is the prominent square wheel arches with plastic cladding. Overall, the stretched version appears entirely believable and fitting.

Author’s Note

While we understand that this is just a digital illustration, a production version might not be entirely out of question. There have been rumours floating around for a long time regarding the 7-seat iteration of the Maruti Grand Vitara to rival the likes of Hyundai Alcazar and Kia Carens. If that were to happen, there are high chances of a Toyota counterpart as well. That is the basis of this virtual conceptualization of the Hyryder 7-seat SUV. If it makes it to production, we can expect something similar to this.
