Mahindra has introduced a special edition of the Thar, known as the ‘Earth Edition,’ drawing inspiration from the iconic Thar desert. This exclusive variant is offered with both petrol and diesel powertrains, specifically available for the LX hard top models.

Priced with a uniform premium of Rs 40,000 over the top-spec LX trim, Mahindra unveils the Thar Earth Edition. This special edition showcases a new satin matte beige shade called ‘Desert Fury’ and features dune-inspired decals on the doors. The unique design extends to beige inserts in the silver-finished alloy wheels, ORVMs, and grille, along with ‘Earth Edition’ badging on the B-pillars and matte-black finish for other badges.

Mahindra Thar Earth Edition Interior Leather Upholstery

Inside the vehicle, a notable change is the dual-tone leatherette seat upholstery with contrasting beige stitching. The Thar Earth Edition boasts beige highlights for the AC vent surrounds, center console, door panels, and steering wheel. Dune-like embossing on the headrests adds to the distinctive interior. Each Thar Earth Edition comes with an exclusive numbered decorative VIN plate, starting with the serial number ‘1.’

It’s worth noting that Mahindra also offers standard variants of the Thar with a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) option, featuring a smaller 1.5-litre diesel engine alongside the familiar 2-litre turbo-petrol engine.

The special Thar Earth Edition, based on the LX trim, maintains feature parity with its foundation variant.
