Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, recently got his hands on a swanky new Mercedes-Benz GLS. It is the flagship luxury SUV from the Mercedes-Benz in India. Many prominent celebs possess this vehicle. Salim Khan is among the first successful screenwriters in the country along with Javed Akhtar as Salim-Javed duo. They revolutionized the Indian cinema back in the 1970s. Thereafter, he did loads of movies as an actor, and film producer and continued with screenwriting. For now, let us take a look at his latest acquisition.

The 3.0-litre 6-cylinder M256M turbo petrol mill churns out a healthy 375 hp and 500 Nm, while the 3.0-litre 6-cylinder turbo diesel engine generates a cool 362 hp and 750 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. Both these engines pair with a 9-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all four wheels via Merc’s 4MATIC all-wheel-drive configuration. In the diesel trim, the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h comes up in just 6.1 seconds. The prices range from Rs 1.32 Crore to Rs 1.37 Crore, ex-showroom.
