PRO will be the new top-of-the-line variant of the popular MG Windsor, which gets a bigger battery and more range
MG Windsor PRO has been able to achieve 8,000 bookings within the first 24 hours of the launch. Note that MG said that the introductory prices are valid for the first 8,000 bookings only. As a consequence, the interested buyers wasted no time in booking the top trim of the MG Windsor. Ever since its launch in September 2024, Windsor has been doing impressively well on the sales charts. MG’s industry-first BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) strategy has worked in its favour. With this, the buyers don’t need to pay for the battery up front. Instead, they can rent it, resulting in low initial prices.
MG Windsor PRO Bags 8,000 Bookings within 24 Hours
At the launch, MG said that the prices started at Rs 12.50 lakh without the battery and Rs 17.49 lakh with the battery. Both these prices are ex-showroom. With the former, the battery rental is Rs 4.5 per km. However, after the first 8,000 bookings, the new prices are Rs 13.09 lakh and Rs 18.10 lakh, ex-showroom. MG has introduced the new Windsor PRO in a single variant called Essence PRO. It now comes with a larger 52.9 kWh battery, offering a certified range of up to 449 km on a full charge.
The car delivers 136 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque, giving a smooth and strong drive. It also includes Level 2 ADAS, which offers 12 key safety features and three levels of warning to help keep passengers safe. New tech features have been added too. These include Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) functions, which add more flexibility for charging and sharing power. The Windsor PRO now also has a powered tailgate for added ease. It is available in three new colours – Celadon Blue, Aurora Silver, and Glaze Red—bringing a fresh look to its design.
