Maruti Arena Cars Get 6 Airbags as Standard Across the Range

Safety has become a crucial aspect for a whole bunch of new-age buyers in recent times

In a rather promising turn of events, Maruti Suzuki Arena has announced that all its cars will come equipped with 6 airbags as standard. This is something that is becoming more and more popular with most carmakers these days. Indian car buyers have become conscious about the safety ratings and prowess of their vehicles. In fact, that is a huge deciding factor in some cases as to which vehicle to opt for. In such a scenario, carmakers need to put their best foot forward and offer tons of safety kit as standard. Here are the details.

All Maruti Suzuki Arena Cars Get 6 Airbags As Standard

Maruti Suzuki ARENA has made 6 airbags a standard feature in more of its cars. The WagonR, Alto K10, Celerio, and Eeco will now come with this added safety. The 6-airbag setup includes front, side, and curtain airbags. It works along with 3-point seat belts and reminders for all passengers. The aim is to provide better protection in case of accidents. These cars also come with other safety features like Electronic Stability Control, Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, and more.

To spread the word, Maruti Suzuki has started a campaign showing how safety can be fun. It includes activities like zorbing and bubble football to highlight the importance of staying protected. With this change, the WagonR, Alto K10, Celerio, and Eeco join the Swift, Dzire, and Brezza in offering 6 airbags as standard. These updated models are now available at ARENA dealerships across India. This step shows Maruti Suzuki’s focus on making safety features available to more people, not just in top-end models but across its range.

Commenting on this occasion, Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “India’s rapidly expanding modern road infrastructure, high-speed expressways, and evolving mobility patterns imply that the need for robust safety measures has never been greater. We at Maruti Suzuki are committed to staying ahead of evolving customer expectations and making high-end safety accessible. With the decision of making 6 airbags standard in the WagonR, Alto K10, Celerio, and Eeco, we are ensuring that enhanced safety is available for all. Given the immense popularity of these models, this move substantially elevates safety standards for a vast number of motorists and contributes holistically to occupant protection nationwide.”
