Hero Vida VX2 Acceleration Test

The new electric scooter is available with the BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) program for better affordability

In this post, we put the new Hero Vida VX2 through an acceleration test to analyse how quick it is. In recent years, electric vehicles have grown rapidly. This includes both passenger cars and two-wheelers. Many new companies have entered the market to take advantage of this growth. To stay relevant, Hero has launched a separate electric scooter brand called VIDA. One of its latest models is the VIDA VX2. Buyers can either buy the battery with the scooter or choose a monthly rental plan. This plan is known as BaaS, which stands for Battery-as-a-Service. It gives users more flexibility in how they pay. Let us check out the details of this case.

New Hero Vida VX2 Acceleration Test

We recently got the electric scooter for the media review. As a part of that review, we decided to conduct a test to see how quick it really is. We know that EVs are generally extremely quick off the line due to the instant torque delivery. On this occasion, our combined weight was 175 kg (2 persons), and we sprinted from 0 to 60 km/h and 0 to 75 km/h. To reach 60 km/h from a standstill with the two of us, the new Hero Vida VX2 took a respectable 4.51 seconds. Similarly, the acceleration from 0 to 75 km/h came up in just 8.09 seconds. These are some pretty impressive numbers.

Specs and Price

The VIDA VX2 comes in two variants – VX2 Plus and VX2 Go. These feature different battery setups – dual 1.72 kWh in the Plus and a single 2.2 kWh in the Go. Both batteries are removable and can be charged at home, making them very convenient. The VX2 Plus has three ride modes – Eco, Ride, and Sport. The VX2 Go gets only Eco and Ride modes. Their real-world ranges are 142 km and 92 km (IDC tested), respectively. The top speeds are limited to 80 km/h for the Plus and 70 km/h for the Go.

The vehicle warranty covers 5 years or 50,000 km. The battery is covered for 3 years or 30,000 km. With fast charging, it charges from 0 to 80% in 60 minutes and to 100% in 2 hours. Using a regular 580 W charger, the Go takes 3 hours 53 minutes, and the Plus needs 5 hours 39 minutes to fully charge. The VX2 Go starts at Rs 59,490 with BaaS and Rs 99,490 with the battery, while the VX2 Plus starts at Rs 64,990 with BaaS and Rs 109,990 with the battery.
