The mid-size SUV has been a mighty popular product in our market since its inception back in 2015
The Hyundai Creta has bagged the title of being the highest-selling passenger vehicle across all segments in India between January and July 2025. Creta has been the leading mid-size SUV for a long time now. That is pretty impressive because this segment is among the most crowded in our market. Almost every major carmaker offers some model in this space. To reign supreme among so many compelling propositions is no mean feat. It has also completed 10 years in our country. For now, let us delve into the details of this case here.
Hyundai Creta Was Highest-Selling Car in India from Jan to Jul 2025
As per the official press release, between the time period of January and July this year, the mid-size SUV clocked a whopping 1,17,458 sales. This marks a healthy 8% year-on-year growth in comparison to the same time last year. One thing to notice is the fact that it overtook even the attractive and mass products from Maruti Suzuki, which is immensely commendable. That is a testament to its unmatched demand and the amenities it offers, taking care of the requirements of potential consumers.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “As we celebrate a decade of the Hyundai CRETA, we are truly humbled by the unwavering love and trust of our customers. Becoming India’s best-selling car across all segments in the January – July 2025 period is not just a sales milestone; it reflects the emotional connect CRETA has built over the years.
