The premium hatchback features in a distinct market segment with the Maruti Baleno and Hyundai i20 as prime rivals
The Tata Altroz is currently on sale with a massive discount of up to Rs 1 lakh. That is a considerable sum for a vehicle which costs between Rs 6.89 lakh and Rs 11.49 lakh, ex-showroom. Altroz bears the title of being the only 5-star safety-rated vehicle at the Global NCAP in its class. Despite that, the Baleno and i20 continue to post decent sales numbers. In fact, the Indian auto giant recently updated the Altroz to grab some market share away from the aforementioned competitors. Still, it looks like the sales have not been as promising as Tata would’ve liked.
Tata Altroz Available with Rs 1 Lakh Discount
As per the official Tata Motors Instagram handle, there are benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh on the Altroz. Not just that, there are significant discounts on other models as well, including the EVs. Clearly, Tata Motors wants to entice new customers with the oldest trick in the book. Nevertheless, in terms of the ICE range, the Altroz gets the highest offers. Note that the sales of the Altroz have been quite low in comparison to the Baleno and i20.
Last month, Tata Motors was able to sell 3,905 units of the Altroz. In contrast, Maruti Suzuki sold a whopping 12,503 units of the Baleno, while Hyundai managed to sell 3,396. In fact, the sales figures for these three rivals for the last 6 months reveal the general trajectory of how these cars are performing in the market. Let us glance at the details here:
