In a recent instance, a video surfaced on social media, capturing a tyre blast at a toll booth in Rajasthan. We know that toll plazas have CCTV cameras installed for security and monitoring purposes. Over the years, many bizarre incidents have ended up in the camera feed. Mostly, people who create a nuisance at the toll plazas are recorded. Also, we come across cases of toll booth workers creating scams to cheat the car owners. But this time around, the footage shows something terrible.
Truck Tyre Blast Destroys Toll Booth
The visuals capture the video of the worker sitting inside the toll booth. He is working on the computer. Suddenly, a huge explosion occurs there and everything gets dizzy for a few seconds. Reportedly, the truck, which had come to the toll booth, experienced a tyre burst. As per the information online, this event occurred at the Hingonia toll plaza booth number 6 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. We see the glass windows shatter and the window frame fall on the worker.
Due to his strong reflexes, he quickly jumps out of the chair with the window pane around his neck and escapes the booth. The reports suggest that he didn’t sustain any severe injuries, which is quite miraculous. Tyre burst is a huge problem with heavy-duty automobiles. If this happens while driving, there is a huge risk to the oncoming traffic and to the affected vehicle itself. On the other hand, even when it occurs while the automobile is standing still, it can be hazardous to the surroundings.
My View
I can only imagine what it must’ve felt like for the toll worker. Still, I am sure that everyone is happy to see him escape unscathed. Nevertheless, this incident showcases how sometimes people can get entangled in a perilous situation for no fault of their own. I guess these are occupational hazards, which are associated with some professions. We can only hope that we don’t get to experience anything like this going forward.
