I recently came across one of the weirdest Maruti Alto modifications ever. We know that Indian aftermarket players have the capabilities to create any sort of customization on any car. In the last few years, these players have become so professional due to the ease of securing spare parts from the international markets. However, at a local level, some folks create innovative solutions where they install non-automotive parts to vehicles to demonstrate their creativity. Here is the latest example of that.
Weirdest Maruti Alto Mod Ever
This video stems from mrkasganjhacker895425 on Instagram. It is hard to believe your eyes once you understand what is going on in the video. The old Maruti Alto has been transformed completely. The man has taken off the wheels, bumpers and the front grille. In place of that, he has incorporated long metallic rods on which drums are mounted. In fact, it looks like something you see on a road roller. All four wheels have been replaced by these massive drums. Furthermore, he takes the Alto into a water body.
There are so many things wrong with this. Firstly, the entire mechanical component can get damaged due to this stupid configuration. In all honesty, I am surprised that these components are even in working condition, and the guy is able to move the car around. Needless to mention, these extend way out of the body of the car. It is hard to imagine how the man got this idea in the first place. In any case, the car seems to be moving around freely. Nevertheless, I reckon, this is only valid for a brief moment. Long-term usage will definitely bear adverse consequences.
My View
India is home to some of the strangest ideas you will ever see. What’s more impressive is that people make efforts to turn them into reality, regardless of how impractical they might be. This is the spirit of ‘jugaad’, wherein the only aim is to complete a given task with the resources at our disposal. Professionalism and safety take a back seat in such endeavours. It is, in essence, a matter of imagination and creativity. I would not advise our readers to try anything like this with their cars.
