The 3-door iteration of the iconic Mahindra Thar is about to get some fresh updates for model year 2025
The 2025 Mahindra Thar RWD in 3-door avatar is set to receive an update. Thar is the most successful off-roader in the country. It has been the go-to choice for a whole bunch of adventure seekers. Over the years, it has achieved immense success. In its latest version, the SUV combines its rugged DNA with modern amenities to offer a more practical and all-around product to buyers. Also, its 5-door configuration has been a major success in India. For now, let us check out what the new 3-door Thar RWD will incorporate.
New 2025 Mahindra Thar RWD Seen
The visuals capture the new Mahindra Thar almost without any camouflage. At the front, we barely encounter the covering to conceal the grille. Still, it is almost evident that no major changes will be present there. Apart from that, the upright bonnet, sturdy bumper, fender-mounted turn indicators, bumper-mounted fog lamps and massive wheel arches certainly remind us of the familiar silhouette of the Thar we all know and love. On the sides, again, the alterations are minimal.
It carries on with the side steps for easier ingress and egress and the fixed rear glass, a matte black roof and solid wheel arch cladding elevate the imposing road presence. Looking closely confirms that the alloy wheel design will also be carried over from the existing model. At the rear, we witness the LED taillamps, the bootlid-mounted spare tyre, partial boot opening and a rugged bumper. All in all, the changes on the outside are limited.
New Amenities
The visuals even give us a glimpse of the cabin. Here, we can expect a few changes. For instance, the rear alloy wheel now gets an integrated reverse parking camera setup, there is a new rear wiper and defogger for added visibility during rainy days, the power window switches on the doors, a new steering wheel, a new infotainment display, centre armrest, new grab handles and a satin silver bumper for a premium vibe. Overall, these little revisions make a lot of difference for new buyers. Apart from that, I don’t think there will be any change to the engine and transmission options.
