The new Skoda Octavia RS (4th-generation) has been announced for the Indian market and the bookings will commence from October 6, 2025. For the uninitiated, the Octavia RS first arrived in India back in 2004. It boasts a prominent history of over 2 decades in our market. Over the years, the Czech car marque has brought it to our shores in limited numbers. Each time, these have flown off the shelves like hotcakes. I am sure that Skoda would want the exact response this time around as well.

As per the official press release, the pre-bookings will be open on October 6, 2025, exclusively on the official website for a limited duration. Hence, one will need to be quick if he/she wants to get their hands on this fire-breathing monster. Over the last few months, this model has been launched in many international markets around the world. Hence, we know that the design is a bit more sporty than the previous model. Also, the interior comes with tons of new-age amenities to pamper the occupants. These include things like a free-standing touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a three-spoke steering wheel with controls, an electronic parking brake, red ambient lighting, red stitching on the black upholstery, metal pedals, soft-touch materials on the door panels and dashboard and much more.

The main highlight of the new Skoda Octavia RS is its powerful engine. It gets a 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol unit that makes 265 hp and 370 Nm of torque. This engine comes with a quick 7-speed DSG gearbox. The car sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 250 km/h. The sports suspension is lowered by 15 mm. Along with progressive steering and an electronic VAQ limited-slip differential, it delivers great grip and handling. Buyers can also choose RS-specific adaptive Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC). Stopping power comes from ventilated disc brakes. These measure 340 × 30 mm at the front and 310 × 22 mm at the rear.
