Stock Clearance Discount on Hyundai Venue Cheaper than i20

Before the arrival of a new-gen model for any car, the existing versions are often available with enticing benefits

The existing Hyundai Venue is currently available with some mouth-watering discounts as the new-gen model is about to launch on November 4. Venue has been a mighty successful compact SUV in India ever since its launch back in 2019. Despite being in one of the most competitive spaces in the market, it has been able to hold its own and post consistent sales. With the new-gen model, things will get even more interesting as the Korean auto giant has equipped it with even more amenities. For now, let us take a look at the kind of offers on the existing Venue.

Current Hyundai Venue Cheaper Than i20

After having a conversation with a prominent dealer in North India, I came to learn that the existing Venue is being offered with discounts of up to Rs 55,000 across the board. The dealership staff even confirmed to me that the stock is getting cleared up rapidly and only the lower trims are left. Also, the GST benefits have already been factored in to the final prices of these cars for over a month now. The base model of the Hyundai Venue has a price tag of Rs 7.26 lakh, ex-showroom. If we include the Rs 55,000 discount, the final amount goes down to Rs 6.71 lakh. For comparison, the i20 starts at Rs 6.87 lakh, ex-showroom. Hence, this might be a great time to pick the existing Venue before the stock dries up completely.

New Hyundai Venue

The new Hyundai Venue comes with a heavily updated exterior and interior layouts. On the outside, the fascia is much bolder than before with new-age elements like a connected LED light bar and a rugged skid plate in addition to a massive grille and a quad-beam LED headlamp cluster. Apart from that, the side section contains new alloy wheels, while the tail end is also fresh. On the inside, the entire layout oozes modern elements and the features list is attractive too. Some of the main highlights, even before the launch, are:

  • Dual (12.3-inch + 12.3-inch) Curved Panoramic Display
  • Dual-Tone Interior (Black and Dove Grey)
  • Ambient Lighting (Moon White)
  • Coffee-Table Centre Console
  • D-Cut Steering Wheel
  • 2-step Reclining Rear Seats
  • Rear Window Sunshades
  • Rear AC Vents
  • Dual-tone Leather Seats with Venue Branding
  • Terrazzo-textured Crash Pad Finish
  • Premium Leather Armrest
  • Electric 4-way Adjustable Driver Seats

Specs

One thing which remains the same with the new Venue is the powertrain and transmission options. It will continue to get a 1.5-litre NA petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel mill. These will be paired with manual and automatic transmissions. This ensures that all the buyers can choose the engine-gearbox combinations according to their requirements. The details regarding the pricing will surface at the launch on November 4.

Having tracked Hyundai’s product cycles for years, it’s no surprise to see such aggressive discounting ahead of the new Venue’s debut. The outgoing model still offers solid value, especially now that it undercuts the i20, a rare scenario in Hyundai’s lineup. For budget-conscious buyers who prioritise practicality over the latest tech, this could well be the smartest time to drive home a Venue before prices inevitably climb with the next-gen version.
