Furthermore, over 1,00,000 units have also been exported to nearly 70 markets worldwide, highlighting India’s manufacturing capabilities. Interestingly, the Sonet crossed the 1-lakh annual-sales mark for 2 consecutive years, showcasing its sustained demand. The wide range of powertrain and transmission options, the availability of the latest tech, connectivity, convenience and active and passive safety equipment and bold styling are the top reasons for its appeal.

The Kia Sonet is among the few cars that are available with three distinct powertrain options. These include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that can deliver a healthy 83 PS / 115 Nm, 120 PS / 172 Nm, and 115 PS / 250 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. The gearbox options include 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, iMT, 6AT, and 7-speed DCT automatic. This ensures that different kinds of buyers can easily select their preferred configuration today.
