Hyundai has sold more than 92,000 units of Knight range sold since its first launch in 2022

Hyundai has introduced the Hyundai Venue Knight in India, bringing a fresh, black-themed twist to one of its most popular compact SUVs. Built around the brand’s “Knight” philosophy, this new edition focuses on visual appeal instead of updated mechanicals. Basically, it offers a more aggressive and distinctive road presence. While the core package remains unchanged, the Venue Knight aims to attract buyers who want their car to stand out without moving up to a bigger segment.

What is the Hyundai Venue Knight All About?

The Venue Knight is essentially a special edition that builds on the standard Venue’s strengths but adds a stronger visual identity. Hyundai has gone all-in on the blacked-out theme here. The idea is simple- create a version of the Venue that feels more premium and sportier, without giving it a major upgrade. This also aligns with the growing demand for darker, more aggressive-looking cars in the compact SUV space.

Design & Exterior Highlights

Of course, the biggest change on the Venue Knight is its styling package. Hyundai has added multiple blacked-out elements to give it a sharper and more commanding look. Key highlights include:

  • Black painted front grille
  • Matte black Hyundai logos
  • Black skid plates
  • Black roof rails and ORVMs
  • Black alloy wheels
  • Red brake calipers
  • Exclusive Knight badge

The red brake calipers, in particular, add a nice contrast and give it a slightly sporty edge, which is something you don’t usually see in this segment.

Interior & Cabin Experience

Step inside, and the dark theme continues. The Venue Knight gets an all-black cabin, which instantly feels more premium than the standard version. What stands out here are the brass-coloured inserts, which add a subtle contrast to the otherwise dark interior. It’s a small touch, but it lifts the overall cabin ambience. You also get exclusive black seat upholstery on select variants, further reinforcing the Knight identity.

Hyundai Venue Knight Powertrains & Features

Mechanically, nothing changes, and that’s not a bad thing. The Venue Knight continues with the same set of engine options:

  • 1.2-litre MPi petrol (manual)
  • 1.0-litre turbo petrol (DCT)
  • 1.5-litre diesel (manual and automatic)

This ensures that buyers still get a wide range of choices depending on their driving needs, be it city use or highway runs.

New Feature Additions

Alongside the Knight edition, Hyundai has also introduced a new dashcam feature on select Venue variants. This dashcam offers:

  • Driving recording
  • Emergency and event recording
  • Vacation mode
  • On-demand video access via mobile app
  • Photo capture

It’s a practical addition, especially considering rising safety awareness and the need for in-car recording.

The Hyundai Venue Knight looks more upmarket without changing the fundamentals, and that’s exactly the point. Instead, it builds on an already proven package and adds a layer of visual drama. The blacked-out styling, red brake calipers, and premium interior touches give it a more distinctive personality. If you already like the Venue but want something that stands out, the Knight edition makes a strong case for itself.
