The all-new 2016 Audi R8 V10 has made its India debut at the 2016 Auto Expo. The second generation of the popular supercar made its public debutย at the Geneva Motor Show 2015. The 2016 R8 boasts of an all-new design for both its exterior and interior. However, the engine has been carried over from the earlier model and is available in two states of tune. The new generation Audi R8 will go on sale in is manufactured at the Audi’sย Heilbronn facility and will go on sale soon after the 2016 Auto Expo. Price
The new R8 has been priced at 1,65,000 Euros (Rs. 1.15 crores). The more powerfulย V10 Plus will go on sale for 1,87,000 Euros (Rs. 1.31 crores, excluding taxes). In India, it will cost upwards of INR 2.5 Cr.

Specifications
The 2016 R8 will go on sale with aย 5.2-litre V10 naturally aspirated motor that will produce 540 bhp for the R8 V10 and 610 bhp for the R8 V10 Plus.ย For both the variants, the engine comes mated with aย 7-speed S Tronic transmission that sends power to all four wheels using the new Quattro four-wheel drive system.ย The new R8 V10 Plus can dismiss 100 km/h from standstill in just 3.2 seconds and hasย a top whack of 330 km/h. Audi will also introduce the e-tron variant for the 2016ย Audi R8. This variant will have a maximum power of 455 HP and peak torque of 920 Nm. The new model is as much asย 50 kgs lighter than the outgoing model, which is courtesy of the aluminum and carbon fibre reinforced plastics (CFRP)ย construction for theย Audi Space Frame.
