Nissan Cars at Auto Expo 2016 – New Nissan X-Trail Hybrid Indiaย Debut
Nissan brings back the X-Trail SUV to India in 2016 and will showcase the same at the Auto Expo. Following the discontinuation of the previous gen X-Trail in India, Nissan has been focussing primarily on the lower-end of the market. However, they have decided to revive the X-Trail brand and what’s even betterย is that the X-Trail, this time around, comes to us in a hybrid avatar!

The SUV won’t come cheap as it is likely to be imported via the CBU route and will be high on tech. Prices are expected to start at around INR 35-42 lacs.

The new X-Trail Hybrid boasts of a 2.0-litre motor that outputs 147 PS-207 Nm, and working in tandem with this engine is Nissan’s RM31 electric motor that produces a max. power of 41 PS and a peak torque of 160 Nm. The X-Trail Hybrid also gets an X-Tronic CVT and an AWD system as standard.

Nissan India, at theย Auto Expo 2016, brings the legendary GT-R to our shores. Launch will happen in September and the GT-R, which is already a legend among supercar aficionados, looks all set to become one of the meanest and sportiest cars to be on sale in India. ย As we said, the GT-R is known for it’s stunning power and impeccable handling and also, the insane acceleration propelling the car from standstill to a 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds!

Quite obviously, the car won’t come cheap as it will be imported via the CBU route and will be positioned as a halo product for the brand. Be ready to shell out upwards of INR 1 Cr. for the beast when it finally lands in Indian dealerships.

Adding to the list of Nissan cars at Auto Expo 2016 is a modified Nissan Terrano, which gets several styling add-ons for an enhanced styling quotient. Nissan India might decide to launch a similarly modified version of its Terrano small SUV in near future.

Giving these three models company at Nissan’s Auto Expo stall are some more concepts that might be far from becoming a production reality, but are sure to pave the way for future models from the renowned manufacturer.ย or two the manufacturer has previously showcased at other global motor shows.
