Mahindra and Mahindra, the popular Indian UV maker, is about to launch a facelift of the current generation Scorpio. It’s being said that the new Mahindra Scorpio facelift launch date is November 14, 2017. The upcoming facelift of the company’s popular SUV boasts styling tweaks for the exterior and interior. Other than this, even the specifications will see a lot of changes owing to the introduction of a more powerful engine. The updated model even offers more features. Prices are likely to start at Rs 8 lakh.

Mahindra Scorpio Facelift Specifications
Specifications will see a major update in the form of the 2.2-litre Diesel engine from the XUV500. This means the maximum power and torque will be rated at 140 BHP and 330 Nm respectively. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. Mileage figures might see a slight dip owing to additional power. Expect a claimed average mileage of around 17 kmpl. Also, the facelift might miss out on the Micro Hybrid system. This will lead to a substantial drop in the prices. It may be noted that the introduction of GST saw hybrid cars being included in the highest tax slab. Cars like the Scorpio and Maruti Ciaz, which have a micro-hybrid system, got affected by this and saw a steep rise in price.
