Triumph Bonneville Street 500

Bajaj and Triumph are reportedly coming together to develop a 500cc motorcycle in India. So, here is a digital rendering of Triumph Bonneville Street 500.

As reported earlier, Bajaj and Triumph are going to enter into a partnership to develop a 500cc motorcycle. Triumph is in the high-end premium motorcycle segment, trying to make its luck in the mid-level premium segment.

Currently, the deals are ongoing and in a few weeks, it would be final. In an earlier report, we reported that Triumph and Harley Davidson are considering the sub-500cc segment for the Indian market.

In India, currently, motorcycles between 200-500cc are increasing and so is their demand. BMW Motorrad collaborated with TVS to make the G 310 Twins. Similarly, long back, KTM also came with Bajaj to explore the Indian markets.

So, we expect the partnership to bring a 500cc motorcycle, probably Triumph Bonneville Street 500. Here is a rendering of the motorcycle by IAB.

Triumph Bonneville Street 500 in the rendering looks very similar to the elder one, Street Twin. The bike gets round headlamp, a twin-pod instrument cluster, circular fuel tank, quilted single flat seat and the short fenders at both the ends.

The Matte Black colour makes it look like a complete Urban roadster. Furthermore, it gets wired spoke wheels and the bold ‘Triumph’ logo on the side of the fuel tank.

In the rendering, Triumph Bonneville Street 500 gets telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. It gets front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS as standard fitment.

Features onboard might include LED headlights, a digital-analogue speedometer, a meaty exhaust note and some wide handlebars.

If it comes into production, expect a pricing range of around Rs 3-4 Lakhs. This price range seems alright for the premium brand, Triumph to debut in the market.

If it launches, it will compete with the likes of Royal Enfield 650 Twins and Harley Davidson Street 750.
