Tata Sierra Dark and Legend Series Launched – All Details!

The Indian auto giant has introduced special edition iterations of the Sierra SUV

The Tata Sierra Dark and Legend Series have been launched for the Indian market. Over the last few years, we have seen Tata Motors introduce Dark Edition versions of almost every model. Therefore, the Sierra being offered in this version is no surprise. Rather, the Tata fans and loyalists must have been waiting for it. On the other hand, the Legend Series is available in a new 5-variant range to ensure wide accessibility for potential consumers. Let us delve into the details of these two avatars of the Tata Sierra.

Tata Sierra Dark

The Tata Sierra #DARK brings a more distinctive look to the premium mid-size SUV with a dedicated black-themed design treatment. Priced from ₹13.99 lakh, it gets a Friesian Black exterior finish that gives the SUV a darker and more understated appearance. Purple Chrome detailing adds contrast to the otherwise blacked-out exterior. Inside, the Sierra #DARK features a Violet Eclipse-themed cabin with an all-black leatherette interior, giving the dashboard and seats a more premium, lounge-like feel.

The special edition retains the Sierra’s existing design, proportions and feature set rather than introducing mechanical changes. The #DARK treatment is available across multiple Sierra Legend Series variants, including Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure + L and Adventure + L, as well as the top-spec Accomplished and Accomplished + versions. Essentially, the Sierra #DARK focuses on cosmetic enhancements, combining its familiar SUV design and equipment with a more exclusive black-and-purple visual theme.

Tata Sierra Legend Series

Similarly, the Tata Sierra Legend Series comes with some distinct elements to set it apart from the normal range. The Tata Sierra Legend Series expands the SUV range with five variants focused on adding more comfort, convenience and premium features at different price points. Prices start at ₹11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) with the Smart+ L, which gets leatherette upholstery, steering-mounted controls, auto-folding ORVMs, passive entry and start, six airbags and ESP with more than 20 functions. The Pure L, priced at ₹13.79 lakh, adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a 10.24-inch touchscreen infotainment system, eight-speaker audio, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control and TPMS.

The Pure L (O), at ₹14.29 lakh, adds the Panoramax voice-assisted panoramic sunroof. At ₹14.99 lakh, the Pure+ L focuses more on comfort with ventilated front seats, a six-way powered driver’s seat with thigh-support extension, Boss Mode and dual-zone climate control. The Adventure+ L, priced at ₹16.99 lakh, adds a 360-degree HD surround-view system, terrain modes, a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display, a digital cockpit, reclining rear seats, wireless charging and a cooled glovebox. All variants retain the Sierra’s 5-star Bharat NCAP-rated structure, six airbags and three 1.5-litre engine options.
