2019 BMW S1000RR Launched In India – Prices And Details!

BMW Motorrad has launched the massive S1000RR in India, priced at Rs 18.50 Lakhs. The updated motorcycle gets a revised engine and a completely new design.

BMW brings its updated litre-class bike, the S1000RR in India. The bookings for the bike have begun across many dealerships for token amounts ranging between Rs 2 Lakhs to Rs 5 Lakhs.

The 2019 BMW S1000RR gets an all-new styling with a revised livery. It now gets a tall light with LED indicators integrated on the rear view mirrors. It continues with the sharp as well as muscular styling.

The updated motorcycle gets a 999cc inline four-cylinder engine, that produces 207 BHP at 8500 RPM and 113 NM of torque at 11,000 RPM. The engine now produces 8 BHP more and the peak torque comes in 500 revs later. Here are the prices:

A 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick shifter is used here. Quick shifter is basically semi-automatic clutch. While lowering or increasing the gears, you do not have to press the clutch.

The bike now gets lighter by 11 kgs, aided by lighter engine components, a redesigned chassis and a WSBK inspired aluminium swingarm. It now weighs 197 kgs.

New electronic aids include cornering ABS, disengagable race ABS, dynamic traction control, hill start assist and Road, Rain, Dynamic and Race riding modes. These come as standard fitments.

The 2019 BMW S1000RR gets a new ‘M’ package for a higher price. The add-on package gets launch control, wheelie control, slide control, pitlane limiter, cruise control, hill start control Pro and Race Pro riding modes. Further, you get heated grips and tyre pressure control as well.

The M Package gets even lighter carbon wheels, lighter battery, M Chassis kit, ride height adjustment, making it lighter to 193.5 kgs. All these features come only on the top-spec variant.

Suspension is handled by fully adjustable 45mm forks at the front and a monoshock at the back. For braking, it gets 320mm dual discs at the front and a 270mm disc at the back, with cornering ABS as standard.

Rivals of the S1000RR include Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, Honda CBR1000RR, Suzuki GSX-R1000R, Yamaha YZF R1 and Ducati Panigale V4. The motorcycle will enter India through the CBU route and will be available for display at dealerships from today.
