New Land Rover Defender will be offered in three different dimensions, new engines and continues to sport its old-boxy design.

Recently a new image have been surfacing the internet showing the new land rover defender dimensions, powertrains and features inside. However, the details leaked aren’t confirmed from the manufacturers.

2020 Land Rover Defender packs three different lengths, a three-door 90 trim, a five-door 110 trim and lastly a 130 five-door variant. The dimensions for the 3-door version will be 4323 mm in length, 1999 mm in width and 1927 mm in height. The wheelbase for the same rounds up to 2587 mm.

Coming to the 5-door version 110, it measures 4758 mm in length, 1999 mm in width, 1916 mm in height and wheelbase sticking to 3022 mm. The 130 trim adds an added length to accommodate more people inside and now stands at 5100 mm in length.

Despite its short length, the 90 trim can seat a total of five to six people, the 110 variant will be offered as five, six and even with seven-seat options. The longer 130 trim can accommodate up to eight seats.

Talking about the engine specification, the 90 and 110 trim will be available with both petrol and diesel engines – three each. One of the petrol specs will be a plug-in hybrid. The diesel engine churns out a total of 200 bhp with peak torque of 430 Nm from a 2.0-litre turbocharged motor. Another 2.0-litre diesel unit generates a total of 240 bhp with 430 Nm of torque.

The more powerful 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel makes 300 bhp with 650 Nm of torque and sprint to 100 km/h comes under 7.4 seconds. The petrol motor follows the same engine configuration limited to 2.0L and 3.0L. The 2.0-litre petrol engine makes 300 bhp with 400 Nm of peak torque.

The plug-in hybrid 2.0-litre engine makes more power that is 404 bhp in combined but torque figures are similar like before. The 3.0-litre, six-cylinder makes 400 bhp with 550 Nm of torque. All the variants will come with an all-wheel-drive layout with automatic transmission as standard.

New Land Rover Defender will see 20-inch alloy wheels, matrix headlights, 12.0-inch digital instrumentation screen, 16-way electric seat adjustment, leather upholstery and a 14-speaker 740W Meridian sound system. These features can only be found in the top-spec model.

The lower spec features include LED headlights, fabric seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, 10.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 140W six-speaker sound system and a 7.0-inch multi-information display.
