Honda WR-V Gets A New ‘V’ Variant – Prices And Features

Honda has updated the WR-V with a new diesel V variant, which is wedged between the S and VX variant. The other two variants also receive an upgrade.

Honda Car India has added a new diesel variant on its popular, WR-V. The diesel lineup gets a new ‘V’ variant and the existing S and VX variants now get new features onboard. The new variant is priced at Rs 9.95 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi).

The new V variant on the Honda WR-V is placed between the base ‘S’ and top-end ‘VX’ variant. on the outside, it gets headlamp integrated LED DRLs, position lamps, Front fog lamps, Turn Indicators on ORVMs, Gun Metal Finish Alloy wheels and Rear Micro Antenna.

Inside the cabin, it gets black and silver upholstery. Features onboard include a 17.7cm touchscreen system with AVN, Steering mounted audio controls, Voice Command, Cruise Control, Auto AC, One Push Start/Stop, Honda Smart Key with Keyless Remote, Front Centre Armrest and Tilt and Telescopic Steering.

Safety features onboard include dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, Rear Parking Sensors, Passenger Seat Belt Reminder, High-Speed Alert, Intelligent Pedal and a rearview camera. It just misses out on a couple of features compared to the top-spec VX variant.

The base-spec S grade now gets Gun Metal Finish multi-spoke alloy, Auto AC, Fog Lamps, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock, Jack Knife Retractable Key, Driver Side window one touch up/down, Driver and passenger side vanity mirror.

Safety features on the base-variant include rear parking sensors, front passenger seat belt reminder and high-speed alert as standard. The same features come on the top-spec VX variant, making WR-V fully compliant to the safety norms.

The VX variant just gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel and speed sensing auto door lock additionally. These upgrades come on the petrol and diesel engines, both. This is the complete price list of the Honda WR-V along with the new V Variant:

WR-V continues with the same 1.2 Litre petrol and the 1.5 Litre diesel engine. The petrol unit produces 90 BHP and 110 Nm of torque, delivering 17.5 kmpl. The diesel engine delivers 100 BHP and 200 Nm of torque, delivering 25.5 kmpl. No automatic gearbox is offered, but the petrol gets a 5-speed MT and the diesel gets 6-speed MT.
