The second-gen Hyundai Grand i10 will be launched on August 21, 2019, and will host loads of premium features inside.

The upcoming Hyundai Grand i10 is slated for launch on 21 August and various spy shots for the same have been surfacing on the internet. Now AutoBild. a leading auto magazine based in Germany has released a rendered image for the same.

It is clear that the upcoming Hyundai Grand i10 will follow the company’s latest design language the rendered image clearly justifies it. For starters, the large cascading grille draws its inspiration from the newly launched Venue.

The front fascia will also see projector headlamps with integrated DRLs. A neat bumper design with fog lamp housing gives the car a fresh look. The silhouette of the hatchback retains its old design with the dimensions being more or less similar.

Moving onto the side profile, it gets subtle creases and a large window line. Mind you, the rear window size is increased to suffice with the Indian market. The car sits on new diamond-cut alloy wheels and in the image, it looks like the height of the car is also increased. The rear bumper sees black plastic cladding on the bumper and it gets LED taillights.

On the inside, the car will receive a new dashboard design and a new steering wheel. The car will also receive a large touchscreen infotainment system and we can also expect the BlueLink connected car technology which is seen on the Venue. The car will get premium features, one like the wireless charging which will be limited for the top-spec trims.

Talking about the powertrain, the Grand i10 will get the same 1.2-litre VTVT petrol engine and a 1.2-litre CRDi turbocharged diesel engine. Transmission options include 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed torque converter unit. However, to make the automatic trim much more feasible to more buyers, Hyundai might introduce an AMT gearbox and ditch the torque converter.

We can also expect the brand to launch the Grand i10 with BS6 compliant engines. Safety features onboard include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, High-speed alert system, Seat belt reminder and Rear parking sensors as standard across all variants.
