Renault Duster facelift was launched earlier in July and with the new model the sales for the month of July have drastically gone up.

Renault Duster was the car everyone looked onto who was tight on budget but wanted an SUV. It was that time when there was no competition and the Duster sales were rocketing the sky. However, with the mighty Hyundai Creta, the sales of Renault Duster suffered and it started to decline month by month.

Earlier in June, Renault changed the game by bringing in the Duster facelift with about 20+ new features and unchanged prices which eventually lead to growth in sales for the month of July.

Internationally, Renault has replaced the first-generation Duster with an all-new design and it comes with a new set of safety and convenience features. And bringing the new generation to India would increase the production cost and price owning in the end.

So to keep the name alive, Renault launched Duster facelift with more features but at the same price. The facelift gets projector headlamps, high bonnet, new grille design and LED DRLs. At first glance, you may not tell much difference but the changes are still noticeable.

The SUV misses out on side airbags for the top-end trim, a feature which even the Triber gets.

Under the hood, things remain unchanged as it continues to get a 1.5L petrol engine churning out 106 bhp with 142 Nm of torque. The 1.5L oil burner is available in two sets of tune – 85 bhp with 200 Nm of torque and 110 bhp with 245 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox for the Petrol while the diesel gets 6-speed MT or an AMT. Also, the Renault Duster is the only compact SUV available in the Indian market which is available with an AWD system that comes with the diesel engine.
