After making the Bullet more affordable, Royal Enfield has now launched the Classic 350 S. It gets some cosmetic differences and single-channel ABS.
Royal Enfield now offers a more affordable Classic 350 S, going at a price of Rs 1.45 Lakhs (ex-showroom). This comes after RE launches the Bullet 350X, which is priced at Rs 1.12 Lakhs, seeing a dip of Rs 9,000.
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 S misses out on some styling bits from the regular Classic. The chrome detailing has been reduced to minimal and now the spoke wheels and engine block are blacked out. Also, there’s no Royal Enfield logo but just a plain black decal.
The 350 S comes only in Pure Black and Mercury Silver colour options. Importantly, it misses out on the rear ABS, thus getting a single-channel unit. That’s why it costs Rs 9,000 cheaper than the regular Classic.

Reports say that the 350 S is only available in Tamil Nadu and Kerala as of now and is likely to be launched nationwide as well. With this, Royal Enfield could expect to see a minor increase in the overall sales.
The motorcycle continues with the same 346cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, that produces 19.8 BHP and 28 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The testing of BS-6 vehicles is ongoing and we will see them at the 2020 Auto Expo.
For suspension, it continues with telescopic forks at the front and gas-charged shock absorbers at the back. Braking is handled by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the back, with single-channel ABS.

In other news regarding Royal Enfield, the manufacturer has started testing the new-generation motorcycles, as we have already spotted the Classic, Thunderbird and Thunderbird X with many differences. The Classic, Thunderbird and Bullet series will sit on a new platform that will be lighter and more sturdy.
