MG Hector September Sales Stand At 2608 Units – Highest Till Now

For the month of September, MG Motors has reported sales of 2608 units of Hector. The sales are expected to increase further as the bookings have commenced.

One of the two debutants in India, MG Motors is seeing decent sales with its first offering. The MG Hector is now amongst one of the best sellers in its segment, which includes Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass and Mahindra XUV500.

For the month of September, the sales of MG Hector stand at 2608 units. Since its launch in June, this month’s sales have been highest. Most of the months till now, its sales have always been above 2000 units a month.

At the time of the launch, the MG was producing around 1500 units of the Hector. Seeing an overwhelming as well as increasing demand, the manufacturer confirmed that its production will be increased to 3000 units.

Such was the demand that the waiting period of MG Hector was shot up to 12 months. The bookings were shut in just a month and half of the launch. Now, the bookings have reopened for Rs 50,000.

With this, the prices of Hector have also increased by Rs 30000-40000, depending on the variant. The prices, now start at Rs 12.48 Lakhs going up to Rs 17.18 Lakhs for the petrol variant, and Rs 13.48 Lakhs to Rs 17.28 Lakhs, for the diesel variant.

MG Hector comes with a petrol engine, a petrol-hybrid engine and a diesel engine. The 1.5 Litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 143 BHP and 250 Nm of peak torque. The 2.0 Litre diesel engine produces 170 BHP and 350 Nm of torque.

Other than the Compass, Harrier and XUV500, other options in the same price range include Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta and the Nissan Kicks. The former is another highly popular debutant in India.
