KTM has also unveiled the 250 Adventure now, which will be more affordable than the 390 Adventure. Both of them are expected to be launched in the next two months.

KTM just unveiled the 390 Adventure at the EICMA 2019 after making buyers wait for more than a year and a half. While reports of KTM launching an even more affordable 250 Adventure recently started surfacing up, looks like it is actually true.

Unlike the grand unveiling of its elder sibling, KTM has silently unveiled the 250 Adventure. It looks similar to the 390 Adventure but looses out on some bits to keep the costs in control.

The KTM 250 Adventure is based on the Duke 250, using the same 249cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC engine. The motor produces 29.91PS of power and 24Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The styling largely remains the same, with the same alloy wheels, same exhaust muffler and body panels. However, instead of split LED headlamps, the 250 Adventure comes with halogen headlamps with LED DRLs.

Suspension is handled by 43mm inverted telescopic forks at the front and WP-sourced monoshock at the back with 170mm front travel and 177mm rear travel. You get 19-inch tires at the front and 17-inchers at the back.

Braking is handled by a conventional 320mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the back, with dual-channel ABS at the back. While it misses out on the ride-by-wire throttle, the 250 Adventure comes with Supermoto mode which disengages ABS.

Features onboard include full colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging port, adjustable windscreen, Supermoto mode, dual-channel ABS, split seat setup and alloy wheels.

The ground clearance of the bike is 200mm and is just weighs 146 kgs. The seat height and fuel tank capacity is the same as that of 390 Adventure, at 855mm and 14.5 Litres respectively.

Like said earlier, we are expecting it to be launched in December 2019 or January 2020. It will cost around Rs 70,000-80,000 cheaper than the 390 Adventure, so expect it to go for around Rs 2.5 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
