Benelli-Adishwar Auto Ride India launched their first product, TRK 502 in India. Their first ADV from the partnership competes with the likes of Suzuki V-Strom 650 and Kawasaki Versys 650.
At the launch event, Benelli officials confirmed their launches for this year. Benelli Leoncino, Imperiale 400 and 502C will be launched this year. All of these three are premium motorcycles.
Benelli Leoncino is a retro-modern Scrambler-type bike. It comes with a retro look combined with modern finishes. Leoncino Trail will be offered with dual-purpose tires and the regular one with road-biased tire.
It gets 17-inch rims at both the ends, while the Trail variant is offered with 19-inch rims at the front. The regular variant gets 12-spoke alloy wheels and the Trail variant gets spoke wire wheels.
Benelli Leoncino draws power from a liquid-cooled 500cc parallel-twin engine. The engine delivers 47.6 BHP and 46 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a wet, multiplate clutch.
On the other hand, Benelli Imperiale 400 is
Imperiale 400 gets a 373cc air-cooled fuel injected engine, that is capable of producing 19.7 BHP at 5500 RPM and 28 Nm at 3500 RPM. The motor pairs up with a 5-speed gearbox.
Lastly, Benelli 502C will also make a debut in India. It is based on the Leoncino, but classifies itself as an Urban cruiser. The exposed trellis frame, blacked out elements and brushed silver dual-exhaust confirm the appearance of an Urban motorcycle.
It will use the same 500cc twin-cylinder engine taken from Benelli Leoncino. Based on its styling, we expect it to offer a very relaxed and laid-back riding position. Just like the original cruisers.
We expect these motorcycles to debut in India in the second half of this year. We can expect the Imperiale 400 to be the most affordable from Rs 1.5 Lakhs and 502C to be the costliest, going up to Rs 3 Lakhs.
