For this part, we will take the similarly-priced models of both these SUVs to see which one offers more. The top model of the Citroen C3 Aircross retails for Rs 14.05 lakh, ex-showroom. It has a petrol engine with an automatic transmission. In Hyundai Creta’s lineup, the S(O) trim has a price tag of Rs 14.32 lakh, ex-showroom. It has a petrol mill with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The Citroen C3 Aircross comes with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol mill which generates a healthy 110 PS and 190 Nm with a 6-speed manual gearbox and 110 PS and 205 Nm of peak power and torque with the 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the Creta has a 1.5-litre petrol mill which makes 115 PS and 144 Nm of peak power and torque. At this price point, it only comes with a 6-speed transmission. The former has the option of a 7-seat arrangement, while the Creta is a strictly 5-seater SUV.

In terms of cabin amenities, the C3 Aircross comes with a 7-inch colour digital TFT instrument cluster, a 10.2-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and 40 connected features via MyCitroen Connect app, TPMS, Dual Airbags, Hill-Hold Assist, leather-wrapped steering wheel, adjustable headrests, reclining second-row seats, roof-mounted AC vents, reverse parking camera, 6-speaker audio system, and more.

On the other hand, the S(O) trim of the new Hyundai Creta comes with an electric sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital cluster with colour TFT MID, 6-speaker audio system, voice recognition, 6 Airbags, Hill-Start Assist, TPMS, all four disc brakes, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and more. Therefore, both SUVs are well-equipped to take care of all the basic needs of their owners.

Author’s Note

Both these SUVs are quite well-equipped when it comes to in-cabin functionalities. In essence, if you have the requirement for an automatic SUV without spending too much, the C3 Aircross will do the trick. But if you want to stick to a brand which has a much more dense sales and service network, opting for the Creta would be prudent. In any case, you can’t go wrong with either of these.
