The co-founder of EaseMyTrip, Rikant Pitti brought home India’s first Lamborghini Urus Performante. Note that the Performante is the latest updated version of the regular Urus and was launched just a few months ago. Rikant had harboured the dream of owning a Lamborghini for 19 years. EaseMyTrip is the second-biggest online travel company. He established it when he was just 20 years old. Finally, all the hard work, dedication and perseverance of all these years have paid off. This green Urus Performante called Verde Viper, is the first in the country. We must mention that Urus is one of the most common and expensive SUVs in the garages of many top stars across the globe. But to have this new model for the first time in the country must be quite special. He wrote an elaborate post on LinkedIn to share the ordeals around this. In fact, he clearly mentions that he is not boasting this to show off but to inspire people and make them understand the value of working hard toward achieving your goals. Moreover, he wants to make EaseMyTrip the biggest travel company in the world and even own a private jet someday.

He writes, “On a personal note, for 19 years, I dreamt of having a Lamborghini. In 2021, I could have had it, but with COVID-19 affecting the world, I chose to help others. I donated oxygen concentrators to many NGOs and hospitals. But good things come to those who wait. I’m sharing this not to show off, but to inspire others. To show that if you work hard and keep going, you can reach your biggest goals. Every challenge and win is part of your life’s story. To everyone with a dream, keep going. The tough times help you grow and get to your goals. Stay strong, stay hopeful, and soon you’ll be living your dream.”

The Lamborghini Urus Performante comes with a potent 4.0-litre 8-cylinder twin-turbo petrol engine which generates a colossal 666 PS and 850 Nm of peak power and torque. The transmission duties are carried by an automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels with a limited-slip central differential and dynamic torque distribution. This propels the luxury SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 secs and the top speed is a jaw-dropping 306 km/h. It weighs 2,150 kg, has a length of over 5.1 m and a wheelbase of over 3 m. The retail price starts at a whopping Rs 4.22 Crore, ex-showroom.
