Hyundai Motor India Ltd has launched the top-of-the-line Elite i20 Asta(O) and i20 Active SX variant with an enhanced safety package- it gets 6 airbags. Basically, Hyundai has re-introduced side and curtain airbags on its premium hatchback. It maybe noted that the last gen i20 offered an option of 6 airbags. The new Hyundai Elite i20 6 airbags model comes along with the launch of the much-anticipated automatic variant. Powering the Hyundai Elite i20 Automatic is a 1.4-litre four cylinder petrol engine. This engine has a max. power of 100 PS. It comes mated to a 4 Speed Automatic transmission. The i20 Automatic is only available in the Magna trim.
