The Hyundai Kona is now priced at Rs. 23.72 lakhs, ex-showroom. This fall in price by Rs. 1.6 lakh comes after the government revised the GST rates for EVs from 12% to 5%.

The Government of India recently revised the GST rates of EVs and as a result, the few electric cars on offer in India have got a little easier on the pocket. The Hyundai Kona was launched in India at a price of Rs. 25.3 lakhs, ex-showroom, but after this revision of the GST rates, the Kona’s prices have fallen to Rs. 23.72 lakhs, ex-showroom. The dual-tone variant has been priced at Rs. 23.92 lakhs. That’s a massive drop in price by about Rs. 1.6 lakhs for the Hyundai Kona and prices are effective from August 1, 2019.
