Mahindra BE 6 with Yellow Wrap

The BE6 is part of the new-age electric vehicle portfolio by the Indian automobile giant

I recently came across quite a unique iteration of the Mahindra BE6 with a yellow wrap. Now, it is unusual for anyone to wrap their brand-new cars. Still, there are some automobile aficionados who go to any lengths to make their vehicles stand out from the crowd. Mahindra has gained a ton of praise for its two electric cars – XEV 9e and BE6. These fall under the two new sub-brands of Mahindra for its upcoming EVs – XEV and BE. The coupe electric SUVs possess a unique and distinct modern appearance. For now, let us delve into the specifics of this case.

India’s First Yellow Mahindra BE6

The specifics of this case stem from modzz.kl and yellowghost_6666 on Instagram. The visuals show a striking electric coupe SUV covered in a bright yellow wrap. The yellow colour makes the SUV look sportier and more eye-catching. Glossy black parts, like the bumper, side cladding, wheel arches, and bonnet, contrast well with the yellow. This mix of colours gives the SUV a strong and stylish road presence. Overall, this is one of the best versions of the Mahindra BE 6 I have seen recently. Digging this Instagram handle a bit more, I came across a yellow-ish Toyota Fortuner as well. Clearly, someone really likes this colour.

Mahindra BE6

The Mahindra BE6 is among the most well-equipped products in its class. Mahindra has been making tech-savvy vehicles for the past few years. But the BE6 is a testament to how far it has come. Here are a few main highlights of the electric coupe SUV:

The EV is underpinned by the INGLO architecture and offered with two battery packs – 59 kWh and 79 kWh. These result in power and torque figures from 228 hp / 380 Nm for the smaller battery to 281 hp / 380 Nm for the larger one. Interestingly, the Indian auto giant claims a range of 535 km and 682 km (550 km on WLTP) on a single charge, respectively. With a 175 kWh DC fast charger, the larger battery pack goes from 20% to 80% in a mere 20 minutes. There are three drive modes to choose from – Range, Everyday and Race. In the most aggressive configuration, the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h comes up in just 6.7 seconds. The EV retails between Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 26.90 lakh, ex-showroom.
