Bagged Maruti Alto 800 with Air Suspension

Indian aftermarket car modification industry is booming as the players are able to install just about any high-tech component in any vehicle

This has to be the first bagged Maruti Alto 800 in the country with air suspension. In the last few years, I have come across many instances where car shops have outdone themselves by altering the very nature of a car. Some car owners head to the aftermarket shops to get detailed custom modifications to make their vehicles stand apart from the crowd. However, at times, people go for more than aesthetics and this is a prime example of that practice. Let us delve deep into the specifics of this case.

Bagged Maruti Alto 800 with Air Suspension

The details of this case stem from car.crazy.guy on Instagram. The host has the unique Alto by his side. The first thing you will notice are different alloy wheels and a lowered stance. In fact, the host explains that this Alto gets an air suspension which can change the ride height with a simple press of a button. The man even demonstrates this. On top of that, it gets 15-inch alloy wheels from the Swift which alter the appearance of the vehicle completely.

The air compressor and cylinder are positioned in the boot compartment of the vehicle. Furthermore, the host even mentions that the air compression and expansion are clearly audible from inside the cabin. I must say that this looks quite challenging to construct since there is barely any gap left between the body of the car and the tyre. Therefore, if there are multiple people sitting inside the car, the driver needs to raise the height of the vehicle to prevent the tyre from scratching the inside of the fender. In any case, this has to be the most unique Maruti Alto 800 in the country.

My View

I have come across numerous instances of people trying to alter the mechanicals of their cars. However, this might not be a great idea since you could face issues with the components in the long run. Note that car companies have years of expertise and hardcore engineering capabilities with which they design cars. Simply slapping on aftermarket elements can’t sit well with the entire vehicle. Therefore, I would advise our readers against such customizations. Let us pledge to be responsible drivers and car owners.
