Girl Lifting Tailgate of Tata Safari

I must admit to getting a feeling of pure cringe after watching this post ‘judging’ Tata Safari’s build quality. We have seen content creators adopting cringy and hilarious methods to declare the strength of cars. Safari is a remarkable moniker in the history of the Indian auto giant. In its latest iteration, it is the flagship SUV from Tata Motors. Its recent update comes with tons of aesthetic treatments and an interior overhaul. It boasts a new-age cabin and features. For now, let us take a look at the details of this latest social media post.

Influencer ‘Judges’ Tata Safari’s Build Quality

This post comes from aman_tiwari_up92 on Instagram. It captures a video clip where a woman is trying to lift the bootlid of the Safari. The title of the video says, “Female Don’t Buy”. In the first part of the video, the woman is shown lifting the bootlid of the SUV. However, in the BTS (Behind The Scenes) phase, the viewers get to see that she has problems lifting the tailgate of the Safari perhaps due to the sheer weight or some issues with the hydraulics of the boot door. In any case, the content creator takes this incident as proof to praise the build quality of the Safari. Needless to say, this absurd.

This is cringy and questionable on multiple counts. Firstly, this has no association with the build quality of any car. According to this logic, the Ambassador cars from the past would’ve been the safest since they were so heavy. That’s why such mindless videos should not be used to determine the quality of cars. Finally, to say that girls shouldn’t buy Tata Motors because they are weak is quite sexist. In today’s day and age, such remarks could land you in trouble.

Author’s Note

We recommend refraining from forming opinions about a car’s durability based solely on videos like these. The most reliable way to assess safety is through official NCAP testing, a standardized procedure specifically designed to accurately evaluate a car’s safety level. If you’re watching these videos for entertainment, that’s perfectly fine. However, it’s essential not to draw conclusions about a car’s quality solely from the perspectives of YouTubers. Encourage others to recognize this as well to avoid being misled by entertaining yet potentially misleading videos.
