Jeep Renegade Trailhawk has been revealed globally. The facelift gets some minor cosmetic updates and new engines. The Trailhawk will be the top-spec trim on Renegade’s lineup. It is rumoured to launch in India as a Hyundai Creta rival. However, there is no confirmation of its launch in India as of yet. Read ahead to know more.
The Jeep Renegade is expected to launch in India by end of 2018 or early 2019. The facelift version of Renegade was recently unveiled globally as it gets some cosmetic updates and new engines. It gets a new 1.0 Litre petrol engine producing 120 BHP worth power or a 1.3 Litre turbocharged Multiair III petrol engine that produces 180 BHP worth of power. The diesel variants will either get a 1.6 Litre engine producing 120 BHP or a 2.0 Litre Multijet II engine that produces 170 BHP worth of power. It will go get a standard 4X4 drive system. The Trailhawk will be the top-spec variant and will sit above the Limited variant. The SUV is expected to be priced from Rs 9 Lakhs to Rs 15.70 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

As Jeep Renegade Trailhawk sits on the top, it gets a dual tone look, different bumpers, bigger wheels, black anti-glare patch on the bonnet, and a Trailhawk badge. Barring these changes, everything remains the same. The facelift version gets new all-LED headlamps, circular LED DRLs and an updated grille section. At the rear part of the SUV, it gets updated tail lights and an added rear door handle. It also gets new set of alloy wheels.

Features of the SUV includeย Uconnectย infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto,ย Selec-Terrainย Traction Management, Digital Cluster Display and more. In terms of safety, it gets Lane Sense Departure Warning-Plus, Intelligent Speed Assist with Traffic Sign Recognition, and Forward Collision Warning-Plus with Active Emergency Braking. Globally, this is the entry-level Jeep car, which is also speculated to launch in India.
The petrol engine will be mated to a manual or Dry Clutch Dual Clutch transmission. The diesel one goes with a manual or 9-speed automatic transmission. For some off-roading capabilities, the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk will get all-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive options as well. Also, the 4X4 system is standard in this.

Currently, the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk is revealed and will be first launched in Italy by end of July. In 2018, it is expected to reach rest of the European markets and Russia, Middle East and Africa. In the USA, it is expected to launch by end of 2018 or early 2019 and the same will continue for India.
