Kia Seltos To Get Costlier From January 1; Prices To Be Hiked By 40-50K

Since the Kia Seltos was launched at introductory prices, the SUV will get costlier starting from January 1. The price hike will be applicable on all variants.

Kia Seltos is the amongst the most popular SUV in India right now, with sales record crossing the 10,000-mark every month. The prices of the SUV start off at Rs 9.69 Lakhs going up to Rs 16.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

However, the Kia Seltos was launched at introductory prices, which are soon set to increase. The price hike will be different for all the variants, ranging between Rs 40,000 to 50,000. The exact price hike for different variants are yet to be revealed.

Further, for buyers who are scheduled to get deliveries in 2020 will see the price hike. At the time of billing, the buyers will have to pay more even if they have booked the Seltos before the end of this year. Those getting deliveries before December 31 are safe.

Kia Seltos is powered by three engine options, including a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine and 1.5 Litre petrol and diesel engines. It is also the first car in India to be offered with four transmission options – CVT for petrol, DCT for turbo-petrol, AT (Torque Converter) for diesel and a 6-speed MT as standard on all the engines.

The turbo-petrol unit produces 140 BHP and 242 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine guts out 115 BHP and 250 Nm of peak torque and the petrol putting out 115 BHP and 144 Nm of peak torque. All three engines are BS-6 compliant.

Safety onboard includes six-airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic stability control, Vehicle stability management, hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors are some of the features which come onboard.

The extensive features list of Seltos includes Features onboard the Seltos include, Bose 8-way speakers, electronically adjustable driver seats, 360-degree camera, tyre-pressure monitoring system, Air purifier, Heads-up Display, Wireless charging, 10.25-inch HD infotainment screen, Multiple driving modes and much more.
