Mahindra XUV3XO RevX vs AX7 Comparison

The Indian automobile giant has launched a slightly sporty variant of the compact SUV

In this post, we are comparing the newly launched Mahindra XUV3XO RevX with the AX7 Petrol version. Note that I have chosen these two versions due to comparable prices. The XUV3XO RevX Petrol AT retails for Rs 12.99 lakh, while the XUV3XO AX7 Petrol MT bears a price tag of Rs 12.80 lakh, ex-showroom. Clearly, buyers can get confused between these two options. Let us delve into the specifics of this comparison.

Mahindra XUV3XO RevX vs XUV3XO AX7

As mentioned previously, there is only a difference of Rs 19,000 between these two, with the AX7 Petrol MT having an edge. In terms of design, the RevX bears some aesthetic enhancements in comparison to the regular model. These include things like a new body-coloured grille, black lower section, black side claddings, black-painted 16-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone paint theme with black side pillars and roof, and RevX badging on the boot lid, as well as behind the C-pillars.

Mahindra XUV3XO RevX vs XUV3XO AX7 – Features

The AX7 is the second from the top trim in Mahindra XUV3XO’s lineup. This means that it comes with almost every amenity available with the car. In fact, many customers consider the second-from-top the best value-for-money proposition. To start with, let us take a look at what the AX7 offers:

  • Twin 10.25-inch HD Infotainment and Digital Instrument Cluster
  • Panoramic Skyroof
  • Harman Kardon Premium Audio with Amplifier & Sub-woofer
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Dual-zone Automatic Climate Control
  • Soft Touch Leatherette on Dashboard & Door Trims
  • Leatherette Seats
  • 17-inch Diamond Cut Alloys
  • Auto Dimming IRVM
  • LED Front Fog Lamps
  • Front Parking Assist System
  • Cooled Glove Box with Illumination
  • 65 W USB – C Fast Charging
  • AdrenoX Connect
  • Passive Keyless Entry
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
  • Height Adjustable Driver’s Seat
  • Rear View Camera
  • Cruise Control
  • Online Navigation
  • Built-in Alexa

On the other hand, the RevX top trim comes with:

  • Panoramic Sunroof
  • 16-inch Painted Black Alloys
  • Cruise control
  • Wireless charger
  • Bi-LED Projector headlamps
  • LED DRL with front turn indicator
  • Infinity LED tail lamp
  • Twin HD 10.25-inch Infotainment & Digital Cluster screen
  • Adrenox Connect with built-in Alexa and Online navigation
  • Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
  • Dual Zone climate control
  • Rear view camera
  • Passive Keyless Entry
  • Push button start
  • Leather steering & gear knob
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system
  • Electrically foldable ORVM
  • Height Adjustable driver seat
  • Auto headlamps + Auto wiper
  • Rear wiper & wash
  • Roof rails & Rear spoiler
  • Rear defogger

  • Power window: 1-Touch Up (Driver)

Specs

In terms of specifications, both these variants are available with two turbo petrol mills – the 1.2-litre TCMPFI and 1.2-litre TGDi, making 110 hp / 200 Nm and 130 hp / 230 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. There are options of manual and automatic transmission. Note that the AX7 Petrol at Rs 12.80 lakh has the manual gearbox, while the RevX at Rs 12.99 lakh has the automatic. Hence, there isn’t anything to choose here. Therefore, selecting between these two is a matter of personal design preference. If you want a sportier iteration of the XUV3XO, the new RevX will certainly do the trick. However, if you want more features, the regular AX7 might make more sense.
